Songs of the year, number 4: Georgia - Started Out

The second of two songs in my list that were released in November 2018, Georgia's 'Started Out' was such a remarkable about face, sound wise, and such a joyous floor filler that it would be an absolute crime not to give it any recognition. Her profile has really risen this year, meaning album number two, when it arrives, will be getting a lot of attention.

'Started Out' was released at the end of 2018 but it's taken me until today to listen to it.

Doing so has allowed me to marvel at how far Georgia has come. Not only since releasing her self titled debut album in 2015 but also since she released 'Feel It' in 2017, which was a great single but very different to 'Started Out'. This feels like a great start to 2019 to me, musically.

She is touring next month, stopping off at the University of East Anglia in Norwich on 13th February, Manchester Academy on 15th February, O2 Academy in Leeds on 16th February, Olympia Theatre in Dublin on 18th February, Belfast Limelight on the 19th February, and finishing back home in London on the 21st February at Alexandra Palace.
